Saturday: Invergordon (Inverness & Loch Ness)

Another lovely day! When I hit the gym this morning I had a lovely view of a quiet, under populated coast line with a blue sky slightly cloudy overhead. In the morning we went ashore to walk around the little town of Invergordon, just up and down the High Street. It was a really pleasant place, with friendly people, and these amazing murals on the walls of houses to describe local life.

After lunch we had a tour booked - a coach trip to Loch Ness & the ruins of Urquhart Castle, which then included a drive to, and around, Inverness. Once again we had mostly gorgeous sunny weather apart from a single heavy shower that lasted about 15 minutes - and another 15 minutes later the sun was back. The castle was interesting - but overcrowded - and the Loch was beautiful, if sadly lacking in sea monster viewings. I really hoped to see it/her. Maybe even feed Nessie. Life is full of disappointments.Make sure you check the photos below in case shes in there and tell me if you spot her Smile
